The Well has partnered with the Preterist Theological Society (PTS) and the Preterist Research Institute (PRI).
Preterist Theological Society (PTS)
Founded in 2010, the Preterist Theological Society (PTS) is a group of scholars, teachers, pastors, students, and others dedicated to the oral exchange and written expression of theological thought and research. The PTS is devoted to the development of critical thought concerning modern day views of eschatology and attempting to right the wrongs of nearly 2,000 years of inconsistent teachings within the Church on this issue. How one views "end times" can change their entire outlook on life, the future, and their involvement in society and the world now. Getting this issue correct can sometimes change a person's life. The Society publishes a quarterly journal, the Preterist Theological Journal (PTJ), an academic periodical featuring peer reviewed articles, as well as extended book reviews, in the biblical and theological disciplines. The PTS also holds national and regional meetings across the United States. Visit our website at http://www.preteristalliance.org/. (Site currently under construction). |

Preterist Research Institute (PRI)
Established in 2006, PRI is a not-for-profit organization, founded for the purpose of educating the Christian and non-Christian world. PRI teaches the doctrine known as preterism or covenant eschatology, as an educational function of Preterist Research Institute. PRI offers public lectures, seminars, debates, books, and videos for the purpose of religious education. PRI is also dedicated to distributing material around the world to groups including prisons, foreign missionaries, seminaries, churches, educational institutions, and individual groups of various backgrounds. While we have our own theological distinctives at The Well, our goal is not about "proving them" or "dividing" over them. While it is our goal to maintain doctrinal purity and to defend against those who might come against God's Word or attempt to pervert it's contents, it is not our goal to argue about or seek out division with those who might disagree with some of our distinct views.
We are instructed in God's Word to always "be ready to give an answer" when someone asks about what we believe and why, but that does not mean we are to argue with one another creating division over non-essential doctrines which do not lead to salvation for those needing the love of Christ. As someone once said, "iron sharpens iron." And it is with this attitude that we approach all doctrinal issues of Christian theology. We seek to unite with members of other denominations and affiliated churches in order to participate together as the Church. This may include churches that are:
Non-Denominational, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, Reformed, Church of Christ, Vineyard, Charismatic, Pentecostal, Preterist, Protestant, Catholic, and there are many more! |
