Elizabeth Amaro

No one knows your experiences better than you. As a therapist, I will accompany you as we work to make sense of everything that has made you who you are, determine where it is you want to go, and create a plan for how we can get you closer to being there. I work with adults and adolescents (aged 15 and up) utilizing an eclectic form of therapy that draws from various models, such as Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, and is primarily based on client needs. I have also received many trainings, including EMDR, that I integrate into sessions when appropriate. I foster a therapeutic environment that is direct while still incorporating humor when appropriate, allowing clients to come as they are, assume accountability, make change, mess up, and grow in a judgment-free space.
